A couple points of debate, The terrorists do lay their lives on the, some could say even more "bravely" then the Isreali's. Let me give you an example. Isreal gets a tip that a "terrorist" is in a car. The brave thing to do would be to pull the car over, extract the "terrorist" and then give him a trial and dispence appropriate punishment. This may cause some risk to the Isreali's but shurely any brave soldier would meet it. It seems cowardly to me, to just send a missle (which very often kills innocent civilians) because you don't want to risk a soldiers life. This attidude is basically saying that an Israli soldiers life is worth more than the civilains who are killed. Until this issue is addressed I find it very difficult for Isreal to claim the "High ground". I am sure it does not help their PR in the Muslim world.

It is just as cowardly to use suicide bombers to kill civilians. Neither side has the higher ground regardless of either's claims.

Tatsrus, I have dissagreed with you in the past, but not here. What you say is true. Both sides have issues. If we could get them to this point, it would help negotiations move forward, and maybe, eventually, to peace.

Hizbollah is a a nationalist party ,with its members in parliament and the ministries of the government' and alliances with witho all the other factions, most notable the Christian party of Michel Aoun. Hizbollah developed southern Lebanon , a rural land which had been neglected by the more wealthy Lebanese factions for generations. The poorer Shia population , were the largest group there and are now a majority in Lebanon. Hizbollah was created as a resistance movement to the Israeli occupation. Since they expelled the Israelis in 2000, Israel has still kept prisoners in Israel, retained Shebaa Farms territory, and refused to provide maps to 400,000 mines they placed in south Lebanon. Israel committed about 1800 incursions from 2000 to July 2006. Hizbollah 100. One Israeli civilvan was killed during those six years. There were very few military encounters. Prisoner exchanges resulted in some cases. Israel has done targetted assassinations and maintained spy cells througout Lebanon. Hizbolloh's militia defends Lebanon form Israel, that is the official government position. The national army is not able to do so, and until it is there reason to disband its militia. After the cease fire , the Lebanese civilivians ignored Israeli military's warnings and efforts to prevent them from returning, by the thousands. The notion that Hizbollah shoved fight with uniforms seems naive. The charges that they hide behind civilians is cheap propoganda . That echos the US claims in Vietnam about destroying villages to save them. Nothing can remove the stain of the disproportinate bombing and shelling of civilians by Israel. A day before the announced ceasefire ended Israel made its heaviest bombing of cluster bombs, and , as one UN official has remarked, they used old ones intentionally, many of which would not detonate on impact but remain deadly for civilians.

There are very few absolutes in the world, but in the Middle East they make themselves known. Hezbollah was created by the Iranian Revolutionary guard shortly after Ayatollah Khomeini returned to Iran. Hezbollah stole a page out of the Mafia handbook when it gives money to the poor and becomes a social outreach agency - where there normally is none. Their "good works" are supposed to cloak the fact that they receive all their funding, ammunition, and guns from Iran. Do they really think they're fooling anyone? Whose money do you think Hezbollah was passing around to the devastated residents of South Beirut the day after the bombing stopped?

Hezbollah is a terrorist organization from the day they were formed - it even says so in their charter. And yes, the charter does use the word 'terror'.

I have lived in Palestine for about 23 years. i lived in Lebenon for 10 years. I have seen things that will shatter a human eye. I saw buildings fall on people, heads on roofs, torn legs and you name it. Israeli aggression, israeli missile and tanks were a daily routine against the occupied palestinain civillians.

Note: for your knowledge, there are about 42,000 arab prisoners that are illegally in Israeli jails, 3250 of them were born there. most of them are university students, seniors and children.

Any ways, lets go back to your topic to whether hezbollah uses civillians as sheilds.

It is very simple. Because according to my eye sight, the 10 years i lived in Lebenon, Hezbollah military bases, practise camps were all located outside in the country or the rural areas. ABSOLUTELY, never ever any military bases were or are in civillized areas.

Israel has killed 1300 civillians, hezbollah has killed 43 civillians. Here is the reason to why this fact is so:

Hezbollah usually uses katusha rockets, these rockets are the most INACCURATE rockets ever. They are usually about 400 km away from the position that is wanted. However, israel uses laser beams and IR rays to aim. these are off by 0.0005 cm. that is 10 times less than the thickness of your hair. in other words, they never miss. YET, they still killed 200 times more civillians than what hezbollah has accidently done.

To the massacare of Qana (by the way, this is the second time). The UNIFIL, Human rights watch and the UN patrol troops said there were no evidence of any weapons (accept hunting guns or normal pistols owned to soldiers) or any missiles or any rockets in any of the places that Israel has destroyed.

Plus, please, give me a break, i will name some of the most popular massacares that israel has commited in its wrongfully false illegal theft excistance:

1) Sabra and Chatila:
were about 3500 palestinains (ALL CIVILLIANS, 45% children, 32% women) were slaughtered in about 30 mins. The israeli army first stopped all media from showing up or getting any access, and when the signal was given by Ariel Sharon ( the former PM, who will never step a foot in Belgium or he will be charged under the world's court for crimes against humanity), thousands of soldiers poured in the village, raped the women and killed them. They shot through anything, anything possibly, they killed all the animals, destroyed all the farms, then the soldiers left. the tanks and helecopters came and showred the village will missiles. they then left. workers came and dug in the grounds to hide all the bodies. What do you call this. it doesnt matter what you call it, because its called one thing "Heartless terrorism"

atleast Hezbollahs prisoners are soldiers that try to kill them, not civillans, students or children.
