A friend recently said, "I'm not afraid of dying. I'm afraid of what will happen between here and there."
I thought that was pretty profound.

Death is not to be feared. It is merely a transition to a higher plane of existence-- one in which instead of "seeing through a glass darkly we know even as we are known".
As to what happend between here and there, well here is there it is in my opnion, that close. so transition shoudn't take long, the pain issue is part of the here... as in it hurts till your not here in body anymore... then it doesn't hurt... you will feel things but pain I believe isn't one of them. But if I was Saddam I wouldn't bet on it...
I for once am not afraid as there is nothing to be afraid of!
