Nicotine in ciggarrettes is rising.

What do the gatherites think about the studies that indicate that the big tobacco companies have been raising the nicotine levels in the ciggarettes? I believe it is through the sprayed on concoction that the ciggarrettes are wetted down with, so that they are more addictive and harder to quit. Years of smoking does tend to damage the teeth. I'm not sure how much damage is done to the roots, but the gums pull back, I think.

Marty, even thinking of that makes me very angry. However i'm a fierce non-smoker. I say don't support the major cigarette companys, don't start smoking. It's toxic and life dangerous. it will give you cancer, bad skin and frail teath. I urge all smokers to stop smoking NOW.

Wow, I was going to state with pride how I upset someone enough to deserve a rating of one. But it evens out in the end. The funny part of it is that yes, it is self-destructive behavior, but it's encouraged by group think, and the pressures to stay slim. The tendancies toward weightloss that smoking affords, but there are a host of other health problems associated with smoking.

Yes, we are after the coffees with higher caffiene. Some people have home espresso makers. Some companies even have pre packaged espresso cartridges, for when you really gotta have your fix, I suppose. Some people move from beer to the harder liquors, but many people who drink socially just enjoy the feeling that alcohol provides them, I suppose. Alcohol gets progressively more expensive as one increases the alcohol content per volume. Ciggarrettes do not have a tax based on nicotine levels/other additives. I think that many places derive significant income from the sales of ciggarettes.
