Well it has been since May since I have been a proverbial thorn in the side of 7up....the natural 100 kind.  (Please see earlier articles)

Thanks for this inside look into the world of the corporate beverage industry. Of course you are aware of what having your mail converted into a "case" means, right? You might want to look out your windows soon and see if there are any unmarked vans parked across the street. LOL!

I called once on something with lemon in it because the can said natural flavors, and also said contains no juice. I was a little perplexed by it and called them. The lady was very nice, and explained that the lemon flavor came from the peel. Oils or extracts (from the peel) used to flavor drinks can't legally be called juice by the FDA, so they are called natural flavors.
I bet that's what is in 7-up.
I think maybe it was lemon flavored Nestea in a can I called the 800 number on. Lipton?

Scwheppes had listed "ginger" as an ingredient in its Ginger Ale, as recently as a couple of years ago. Now, that's been replaced with "natural flavors." NOT the same, in my book.
Well, as to ginger you are right. It's not the same. Ginger is a spice, it's sold in many stores including one little one right near us. A ginger natural flavor, "might" be ginger-soaked in water? It surely couldn't be the ginger itself as the oils from ginger come from the root! I wonder what they mean on that one. The lemon I can understand - natural flavors as those can be from the peel, as well as lime, grapefruit, orange and tangerine, but ginger? It's a root! I guess it "could" be an extract, but why wouldn't they list it as such? Hmmmm... weird!

I thought it was four ounces. 12 vs. 16, who says kids don't know about the value of a buck.......;-)

oooo RC brings back beautiful memories. My neighbor used to work for them and every Christmas I got RC cola hats with big pom poms on the top, gloves, mittens, scarves. AND sometimes he would bring me the ultimate summer favorite.....RC Cola and a moon pie!!!
