Ahhhh!!! A "Wecome to your writing shed" gift

Not everyone has a writing shed. Nor has everyone received a "welcome to your writing shed" gift. Though such people might exist, I am not at all certain if anyone with a writing shed has received a "welcome to your writing shed" gift from a fellow Gatherer. 

I have the joy and honor of telling you that I am that "not everyone." In my shed, squirreled away from a chocolate/almond biscotti flavored with lavender husband, is a plate with the two remaining pieces of what was once a lavish container of the aforementioned biscotti – a gift from Gather chef par excellence, Kevin D. Weeks of Kevin's Cucina  ! fileId:3096224743895746;size:inter;

Now, orchestrating the shipment of  a writer's shed from one North Shore location to another is a serious business. I even wrote an article about it, A Writing Shed of One's Own . But the making and shipping of chocolate/almond biscotti flavored with lavender to a Gatherer lucky enough to have connected with a chef of such delights is not business. It is serious generosity. 

So thank you Kevin! And all you Gatherers. Consider a writing shed. I can't promise biscotti, but I can promise a boost to your writing delight.

Virginia Woolf would've been purring with joy over this delicious melange of writer's dreams and biscotti fantasy in happier times, Beryl, knowing that a talented woman writer not only had the last laugh in an age with more women readers than men, but also could enjoy her sweet tooth much more merrily than any pioneer suffragette!
You make writing feel like the most appetizing activity on the planet, and indeed, when we get into that writer's"trance" ( even when eating more biscotti than we should, or in my case, drinking too much coffee) it is. It is!
I may find myself a shed to write in one day, but I shall never shed my writer's self!

The biscotti sounds wonderful, but your picture reminds me how I have always felt that tea or cocoa or coffee always taste better in a pretty cup with saucer (preferably chintz).

I just lost my "writing shed", I'm having to be creative but as a result, I don't write as often. Still my favorite "writing shed" is outside with a good old-fashioned pen and paper!

Wow how cool! I think anything Kevin makes is probably a scrumptious addition to any writing shed. My writing shed is me being holed up in my bedroom. It will have to do for now. Looks pretty cozy, Beryl!

Slightly off-topic: Beryl, you finally convinced me to come over here. I'm still feeling my way around . . . a little disappointed so far in the level of communication, but I might not have hit the right pool yet :-). On-topic: the biscotti sound fantastic. I think I would feel claustrophobic in a writing shed, but one of the very first things I tell people with writer's block, when I coach them, is that they need a sacred space for writing. The funny thing is that some people's sacred space is almost completely internal, and they can access their true Muse wherever they are.

Ah, David, but that is the best part of Gather. You will find, in time, a level of writing to match your every mood, regardless of what that mood may be and free of space and time limitations as well. Be patient, child. You can, and surely will, find whatever it is that your heart seeks here, whenever it seeks it.
