Comments to add to the CEO Chat Discussion

I learned of the CEO Chat later that same evening.  After 3 reboots I wa able to read almost all of the 120 comments, checked today and see there are 127.  My dial up connection cannot wait the time it takes for that article and comments to download to see what else was suggested.

Therefore, I am starting a discussion from my notes I was able to take while reading the comments during the chat.

1.  How often are chats done and could it be mentioned in the newsletter to help plan accordingly?

2.  Any thought to a comment cap - say 50 and then a new discussion could be started by another person.  It takes too long to get through the comments on dial up and I would like to have the opportunity to read discussions but find it challenging.

3.  Gatherings - I think this is a good idea.

4. Draft mode - I read in comments that several other people have had the whole publish an article page go blank on them like I too have experienced.  Or say I was going to publish something and then lost my connection.  Where did my article go?  Can we have another button like preview, but make it a draft - or have it a sub section of the preview so you would preview your article and then put it in draft mode or call it a hold button for storage until ready to post/publish.

5. Index of articles - Would be nice to have each invividuals page have an index listing of their articles.  This instead of just paging through you would click on health and find all their related articles, maybe another one would be for gather rants and musings, another for recipes and so forth.  In the publish mode we can include an index tag for this purpose.

6.  Groups owned on member page - This would be nice for non members coming from a link you have in your signature email line and seeing the groups you own first and then they sign up for gather and join a group, without having to search.

7.  Reviews on merchants - For members that opt for the gift card options through earnings a review on the chosen merchant would be a nice gesture and might attract new merchants.  The reviews would be highlighted in the earnings section so members could read before they redeem one.

8.  Shopping - I don't really like adding this feature.  This site is unique in what it offers.  I read someone mentioned doing it like epinions and frankly I have been on that site for 6.5 years and came here looking for something different.  I have noticed others arriving here from that site as well.  I found this site through a mystery shopping newsletter earlier in the month.

9.  Rating - I wanted to give feedback that I like the rating semi-anonymously here. You can choose to leave a comment after or before your rating and not get attacked or flamed for doing so.  Sometimes a rating  is all that is needed and if there are too many comments I cannot take the time to do so.  Too bad there was not a feature to let the person know I stopped by but could not comment.

10.  Any holiday plans happening at the site - contests?

11.  Are there any extra points for having your article featured on the home page?

I was pleasantly suprised to read there are 3,000 groups here and have joined a few newly created ones that seemed of interest.  I am enjoying this site and like the setup.  Don't change it too much.
