My mother always said that she wanted people to bring her flowers when she was alive, rather than put them on her grave. And so we did. I know Mom, and many other people wish that when they have passed on that we would just remember them for the people they were. For the thoughtful, loving things they did, and try to keep their memories alive for the generations to come.
Losing friends and family is obviously cumulative. And there is a heavy place in the heart where those missed loved ones reside. I don't think any of the people I knew would want me to dwell on their passing, or fall into a deep depression. Move on...Get on with the life you have. Make each day count for something. Do something good for someone. Pass it forward.
