My how time flies when you're having fun! In the past 36 years I have watched my only child go from a toddler to a beautiful grown woman. Some of the most memorable moments for me over the years was watching her sprout her wings. From bringing "Mommie" flowers picked in the yard to drawing hearts on her envelopes even to this day when she sends me greeting cards. Watching her excitement as she learned to ride her first bicycle or her lack of fear learning to swim. Catching her pouring her milk out in the yard when she thought I wasn't watching. Nearly cutting her toe off riding her bicycle barefoot. A year later breaking her arm riding her bike, getting back on and riding home without a tear. Both of us wearing braces on our teeth at the sme time. Seeing her absolutely blossom when hers came off well before mine. Seeing her excel in Rainbow for Girls as she became Worthy Advisor in an event that seemed to equal a wedding. Proudly watching her graduate from high school in an outdoor ceremony in the pouring down rain. Both of us going through a divorce within a month of each other. A year later both being matron of honor at the others remarriage. Seeing her graduate from college at her own expense and become a dedicated teacher. Giving me my only grandchild. Going back to school to earn her Master's degree. Memorable moments of hope, faith and love to be passed on to the next generation as we fly into the future.

you are a proud mom and may the love you share with your child bring many moments of happiness
thank you Jerry
I think the story that you wrote sounded like my mom could have written the same thing. I miss my mother and dad terribly since they have both passed away over the last 3 years. I have such very fond memories of my life growing up and then maturing into a woman and mother of 4. Thank you for making me feel all warm and fuzzy with your story.
I do agree that if cherished and nurtured the proper way, there is such a good bond between a mother and her kids.
