RULES FOR A HAPPY MARRIAGE

For you to be happy is my constant prayer.

For if this is so, I know that I'll share.

Why should we quarrel when our goals are the same?

Achieving them jointly is the name of the game.

If each gives a thought to the others intent,

The job will get done with least energy spent.

For marriage is a two-way street.

But often people fail to meet.

The right-of-way is in dispute.

I'd rather settle....no lawsuit!

And if you watch for Stop and Go,

Just stop and then proceed real slow.

Anyone can pass the test,

Nothing to it, drive and rest.

Just be sure you look both ways,

Even if it takes two days.

Rather think it through real good,

Reverse the gears if you think you should.

Carol & Shelly, thanks for your comments. Wish I could have lived up to these words I wrote. I tried, but, alas, the marriage ended after 28 years.
