Ella Bella Stella--some limericks for a new...

Ella was born July 30, and I've been out in NJ visiting and "bonding" with her. Actually helping my daughter with getting back into the motherhood action. Her other child is 14.

Once upon a time in July

A girl with a twinkle in her eye

Stole away my heart

She's a picture of art

Her name's Ella, oh me, oh my.

An Angel brought here on wing

These limericks are "so right", Carol. Almost a year ago my mother came visiting from Norway where she'd gone to see my brother who lives with his Norwegian wife and their new child--her new grandchild--Yria. And when she was here in Spain with us she wrote several beautiful poems about that baby that brought her to life for me (I still haven't met her, sigh) as magically as any photos my brother Patrick had sent me. And the combination of these photos and your love through these poems does the same thing for me here now.

Tiny Ella is wonderful news
For Grandma she smiles and she coos
Together they play
Untill Gran does say
"Here Ella's mom, I think she's done poos"
