Gather not letting me see "Guarded file" (setting is correct)

Starting this morning, Gather is no longer letting me see Guarded pages of articles or images. I tried an image by Sandy Knauer and an article by Ludolf. I tried it on both Safari and Firefox on Mac OS X. I did not yet try it on IE. I went in and checked the setting and indeed "Guarded viewing is off" is set. For kicks, I set it again and saved settings. Same result. Something is wrong on Gather end. I AM logged in, since I can post comments and articles to non-guarded areas.

I was able to view guarded files as recently as a couple of days ago without problem.

Same thing happened to me this morning, Ri8ch, same articles, too.

I am noticing other general problems this morning too. For example, on many articles the existing comments are not loading, even if I wait for a LONG time. If I close the browsers down and start again, they load sometimes, but not 100%. Something has gone wrong on one or more servers this morning.

Rich & Donna - I think it is because of my wandering style of Gather-viewing that I fail to detect minor problems. But I am glad that people like you are alert and notice the slightest of changes in the functioning of Gather.

I have too much time on my hands right now. Haven't started a new job yet so I play guitar and surf the net more then I should!

I just confirmed that I cannot see Guarded items on IE on Windows either.

Interesting. I just found I can't see or am not authorized to see a group I am a member of....rather odd. Just thought about this thread as it happened.

I'm kind of surprised I'm still having the problem. I just tried again and STILL CANNOT ACCESS the guarded content I mentioned in the article.

The plot thickens. I just went back to some other content flagged as mature (Laurie's Magic Kingdom articles) and I WAS ABLE to access those. What is it about Sandy and Ludolf's posts last night. Could the problem be the flags in those specific posts?
I can;t get past page 3 of articles.. the next button just doesn;t work.. hasnt for weeks.

Rich, that has happened to me before except I can view the article but the comments never load. Weird.

Same old, same old for me too. For about two weeks now. Glitches like this, plus the piss poor internal email system, must turn off newbies. Thanks for bringing it to our attention, Rich.
