"Are you all right?" A voice called.
Another laugh as I penned this response.
"Yes, dear. I'm fine."
And so is your comment. Thank you for it.
"Today" trickled inside my shirt, and I expect it to again tomorrow, but the night air chilled, the sawing bugs were silent, and somehow neighborhood dog barks sounded just a little different. Perhaps the echoes?
The ride will come when I can armor my body for safety without having to install a spigot in my jacket.
