Villa Montezuma located in Sherman Heights, a San Diego neighborhood. Villa Montezuma was built in 1887 when Jesse Shepard came to town. The house has stunning stained glass work, beautiful woodworking and Victorian archiecture.
Jesse Shepard was a spirtualist and musician who used to hold musical seances in the house. He seems to have never left.
I think this is the most beautiful haunted house I have ever seen. It actually looks haunted.
I have included a few links with photos that can do the place justice. Click the links to view better photos of the house, along with closer views of the stained glass. With a few Ghosthunter type links for fun.

One other interesting tidbit I found, that I thought would interest you:
One of Shepard's servants was tormented by grief when his wife died, so he committed suicide by hanging himself in the mansion's tower.
I wonder if its really haunted.
Its seems like if any of the houses in San Diego would be, this would be the one considering he channeled spirits.
