I beleive that individuals , societies, cultures, civilizations, can be judged by their willingness to act wisely.
Which brings us to ask , what is wisdom?
Wisdom is the desire and the willingness to live in harmony with oneself, one's neighbors and one's environment.

Wisdom is life experience in word form. = Senobia T.

(This article, by the way, was a very pleasant and thoughtful contribution.)
Michael Fowler - I will try and find your article.
I think that 'reason' is not necessarily directly related to Wisdom.
Reason can be the source for scientific break throughs - such as those behind the creation of nuclear power and nuclear weapons - I'm not sure if we could get a consensus of agreement that those two were wise choices.
The answer to that question I am suggesting is Harmony.
From that knowing flows all wisdom. Anything less is mere knowledge which has a 50/50 chance of being false.
Therefore, knowledge is objective as applicable to the exoteric realm of duality. (+/-).
Wisdom is subjective as applicable to the esoteric realm of spirituality, yet expressible in any realm as ... (+=-)
(+=-)=:-)
(+/-)=:-( BOOK
