My night cap is to say the Rosary. When you fall off to sleep the angles take over.
I'd like to try hatha yoga though.
Herbal Teas are great except if you are middle aged and menopausal like moi. Then they just bring on the night sweats. Black cohosh helps with the night sweats.
I have started doing some gentle yoga in the evening before bed, nothing too strenuous, and that helps, also.
Since my allergies are bothering me I am solving two problems.
Hot Sleepy Time Tea make with milk usually helps me.
I love that list! A lot of times, when dealing with the insomnia, I'll pop in a relaxation cd... have to use the headphones, or I also hear the kids laughing at me! Lol But it is amazing, most times, I am out before the first couple tracks are over.
I have tried sleepytime tea that is ok, I like hot choc.and whip cream-(>Hot choc.= sugar & caffine)- I think it just tastes good and the warmness is just relaxing.
probably the last thing I need.........
I really have to agree on the fatigue part...when I had a hard day I just crash....
I better stop talking know I'm gonna fill this page with a whole lot of non-sense, one of the biggest problems of sleep depravation. :)
When I was still working and all else failed I fled my bed and went out and slept in our camper. I pretended I was parked by a rippling stream up north. That usually worked. Now, I just get up and enjoy it because nobody except my pets depend on me for anything, not even my opinion, and it doesn't matter when I sleep. Any method that gets those would'a, could'a should'as from racing around my brain is good.
