Since Friday last I have been Out of the loop and haven't been able to keep up with all of the things going on at Gather. In the two month passed since I have become a member, I had gotten used to being a part of Gather.
Had gotten use to my cell phone constantly beeping letting me know about your (my people) activities. And then all of a sudden on Friday morning the mail server went down, and boom! It stopped.
But last night the mail server was finally restored and the notification text messages started pouring in. Over 200 hundred text messages came in within the hour. It just went on and on and on.
I was trying to see an animation film on DVD with my nieces and nephews (all adults) and the constant beeping was driving me and them crazy. Thankfully the message box filled up and I didn't delete them until I got home.
Ah, the joy of modern technology is great. But at least I can keep up with Gather Land again.
