Disapearing Articles not getting published!

This is the third time in two days that I have tried to publish an article and after I hit the publish button I get the blank create an article screen.

Where are my articles going and why? Is it that I use too many tags or have more than one screen open?

Also when I type in the tag gather I get brought back to the home page? Why is that? Must be why a tag is used by many called gathercom

I bet this will get posted though and the ones I put much thought and effort into go AWOL.

Just figures that this gets posted while ones I really care about get booted off for some unknown reason.

This stinks, especially when the site is SLOW and my dial up connection keeps kicking me offline.

Now going to try posting an article

I haven't noticed a problem lately. I will say, I doubt it's to many screens open because I usually publish with many screens open.

I just got one published when I closed the other screens. I had edited this to fix the title error and clicked on publish to start the other one and noticed they both were the edit one, so it dawned on me that I could only have one gather window open to get this accomplished.

At least that is how it seems to be for me at this time. Now I am going to try a few more while I still have a connection.

Something similar happened to me. I used the back button to try again. Ended up with article published twice and had to delete one.

Sometimes when you use the publish tool, things DO disappear in a poof of smoke. Best best is to write first in Word or Notepad, so you have a copy. It's happened to many.

Gather is probably the tag for the home page.

The only problem I seem to have with posting is when I edit using Safari after I've posted using Firefox. I get weird HTML code that looks rather odd when I post and edit with different browsers.

The weird code happens with Firefox or IE, too. It is part of the gather software and I have to edit every published article immediately after publishing to get rid of the HTML...

This happened to me 2x yesterday! It's so frustrating, cause I'm left thinking do I re-write all that, or do I just forget it. but I've learned my lesson now. Copy it into word or wordpad before hitting the publish button just in case.
