The truth has never been told in a better way than this. I wish someone could just enforce this way of thinking to my teenage daughter who seems to always suffer verbal abuse by other girls. She is beautiful and I think out of jealousy these girls hurt her to bring her down.

Amen, volunteer work at a nusing homes is a great place to learn just how easy it is to be kind.

You are so right, Mandi. Each of us needs a regular supply of such good experiences to affirm our worth as individuals.
What happens when a peson doesn't get enough of it? Look in the prisons and psychiatric hospitals, in doctors' offices, on roadways or in offices (rage), in homes.
It's so easy, but we need to tkae the time to do it for others instead of thinking about whether others do it for us.

Let's do something beautiful..show a little kindness. Even when we disagree with people, even when we are angry, we can do something beautiful, because we can choose to be kind.

We may never know the impact or significance of saying a kind word to another or realize how much it may be needed by the recipient. Likewise, the impact of an unkind act or passed opportunity to do something kind could be significantly negative.

thanks mandi you describe it so well. I coming from a family of 16 and poor know what hurt feels like by other kids growing up but you know I have never once said an unkind word to anyone because I do know that you have to walk in someone elses shoes to know how they really feel, and why they do the things they do. maybe they have had some unhappiness and they want to get back at someone so they just pick on you. I know giving of yourself to people is true giving and not anything material, and sucess is not money but what you do while you are here and what you leave behind.I was always taught by my mother to always show kindness even when someone is putting you down and they will see you for the person you truely are inside for thats where everything comes from. Show everyone love in the mist of life's storms and you will reap the whirlwind. my mom was a great lady and very smart, and we still miss her. Any way I love what you said and I always try to do that with everyone, even if they are mad at me I never get angry or fuss at anyone. I have beter things to do in life and I am too happy of a person. I love to make someone down feel good,because I know what they feel, I have been there all through life. you have choices to make in life and I chose always to be good to everyone even if they don't like me for some reason. I never take it to heart because I know who I am. thanks mandi great stuff and so very true

I was kind. Us kind folk have to be careful, however. I even remember when I became a little self defensive. I hate war and stuff like it. It was said I had a "too kind" attitude and it sent the wrong message. I assure you, I am not stupid. What a life those people were living.
