Has anyone been following the evolution of Razorfish + Avenue A?

Anything at all?

I don't mean the stuff posted on their website - I mean real dirt:
1. Do they do really interesting stuff?
2. Are they Hip and Cool?
3. Do they employ child labor in southeast asia (not necessarily a bad thing)
4. What kind of coffee is in the lunch room?
5. Mac or Windows?

Any and all dirt - no matter how unsubstantiated is very much appreciated.

Last time I dealt with them they were doing cool stuff such as trying to make breakthroughs in UI and create standard ways of applying those UIs to new creative. The creative arts team is pure Mac. I think Mac is fairly popular across the company but not sure. They are expensive and busy, which imply they have a great reputation. I haven't used them since merging, but they did bid on several projects over the years. I had worked with Razorfish way back before they became part of Avenue A. Razorfish was the shit back then.

Rich - I remember when Razorfish was the mack-daddy of slick UI, User Experience, Information Architecture - but I don't know where their reputation has been since the dot-com implosion. Hmmmm. If I had more time, I would troll the internet. FuckedCompany used to be a great resource for rumours - but now it requires a subscription.

I've heard that they operate out of a bungalow in Jamaica and are exploring ways to make virtual rum pleasurable by viewing streaming images of Barbadosians swilling the golden brew. Other than that, I've heard virtually nothing.

I signed up for Razorfish years ago but they seemed disappointing back then so I did nothing with the membership, and the photo thing for me went to Yahoo pictures, which more of my friends felt comfortable with (Razorfish is after all a hell of a sharp name, and not all my connections in the real world are "tragically hip."
But you've piqued my interest, so I'll go there after I finish reading you.
What are you doing, pal, head hunting the headhunters?
