As someone who gets emails from Gather when a connection or someone I subscribe to writes an article or posts an image, I click on that link and then to my surprise have to sign in!
1. This is an extra tedious step I would like to do without and wonder how difficult it would be to set it up so that the link being clicked recognizes us as members and has us signed in already.
I would imagine members would get more comments, reads and ratings if this were the case. At least it does take us back to the page we were on when we log in, but still I find this to be a hassle.
2. Another thing I avoid is when there are so many comments on an article or image - I will not stop to comment because it takes too long on a dial up connection to load and then while in the middle of typing out your comment it finishes the download process and your comment goes AWOL.
Have others found a way around these two issues I have encountered?
