Typhoon Saomai?
Possibly at least 114 dead, and maybe 50,000 homes destroyed. Of course, building codes aren't as tough as they are in the US, from what I see about corruption in China. Of course, how much of an area are we talking about? And when we are talking about a country with 4 times the population of the United States, what's 114 people? It's sad.

I could only imagine going through one of these. So sorry to hear about the loss of life. Sometimes in the face of mother nature you feel so small and helpless.
