I happened to make a stuffed tomato yesterday and looked up the recipe I posted last year. The tomatoes tasted the same -- but the photos don't.
I took this first photo on August 22, 2005.

I took the second almost exactly a year later on August 12, 2006.

When comparing the two photos, the earlier one looks like something from a 1970's cookbook....the later one more like up to date Bon Appetit ;-)
I had the same thought about vintages.
Kari,
I need to keep a spray bottle in my "studio" until I get in the habit of using it. I'll try thinner slices and more mounding next time. I also want to toss a couple of capers on top.
Both I suppose. I'm just trying to improve the photos I post on my blog: Seriously Good.
Yeah, I've got a whole list of those tricks. My problem is that I plan on eating everything I shoot (it's my supper or lunch, after all). So inedible tricks are out as is anything that takes very long (I didn't just spend an hour in the kitchen to eat something cold).
Thanks a bunch, though, for your suggestions. They're most welcome.
I'm not married.
Kevin, I have a beautiful niece who's 36..........she's also a wonderful cake decorator!
But you're right, I too love the whole Hamakua area!
I like Hawii too. We were there when my sister and niece visited for a couple of weeks during May-June. Found a great place for brunch in Kapa'au!!!
I appreciate the neice offers.
I was married once. I think we should all be willing to try things. But I prefer being single. That way I don't have to compromise on the pepper in my chili, the art on my walls, where I spend a long weekend, or how cool the bedroom is.
Some would say I've been culled from the gene pool. But I like to think that nature simply couldn't improve on my set of genes and so retired the line.
"Don't ya just love all the tips."
I suspect your two will be sufficient.
I hope your niece won't be too disappointed.
For my part, I've got my hands full with Liz's tomatoes.
Is it warm in here?
Kevin........you are getting in deep hot water.......
So you noticed it too?
It wasn't just me, then.
