We will be lots beyond belief as time transverses. Did you see the really big one {green-blue] going n/ne about 6 nights ago? It was going parrallel, if it had hit it would have been a BIG shakeup! It was right at !:30am. I did not hear anything of it until radio mentioned that Texas nightsky had recently become daylight for a flash.

Missed that one Dan, past my bedtime. But we saw 2 last night. Not terribly impressive, but for a Florida summer night, I was extremely happy that it was mostly clear.

What an unexpected treat. The lure of a meteor shower got us out of the house and looking up again after such a long stretch of cloudy skies. I was disapointed that I couldn't name the constellations. My stargazing is limited usually to the winter sky. Along the horizon clouds were building and showing off a flashy display of heat lightening. As the moon began to rise from behind clouds to the east, it presented as a tiny red dot, becoming slowly larger as the clouds parted. Oh yeah I did see 2 shooting stars, and the Milky Way was visible. Also unusual for a Florida summer night. Soon the skies will clear again and I will be at home with the familiar winter constellations.

I must have seen at least one a night even if out only briefly, they wer going east and e.n.e. Thanx
