I'd like to suggest Damian McNichol's Smiling Dolphis to the Best of Gather. Until I read this article I was one of the many who enjoy watching Dolphins perform in Zoos and waterparks. Damian takes you to one of these events with a small family on vacation. You hear the children squeal and rejoice in how happy the smiling dolphins look and beg to be allowed to swim with them and the parents making the financial decision to enjoy such a special event despite its cost because after all, they are on vacation and one only gets to live once. We leave the family and follow Damian into the true story behind those smiling dolphins -- a story that needs to be shared with others, who like me, knew nothing about this background story.
