Only people who are not 'morning people' use that term I think. Morning is when there is peace and beauty. Morning is for the sun rising and the moon setting. I have complete memories (sounds, smells, emotions...) sometimes in the mornings of all the other places I've lived.
This haiku takes me back to the Umcompahgre Plateau in Colorado. The coyotes are quiet and the air crisp, cold. A breakfast of Lipton cream of chicken cup o' soup with salsa in it and saltines and cheddar cheese. Crank up the Harley for a cold ride down to Montrose to earn a little money for bourbon and gasoline - the two things I ran on that summer. I was twenty three.
Like having to get out of a nice warm bed, trudging into a cold bathroom with cold feet from the chilly floors, all half-asleep to pee....ugghhhh! :) points nation
