What A Beautiful Day!

Yes, I'm writing about my six year old again... I'm just gushing with joy! :)

Today was another day, full of questions and wonderful conversation... it's so funny, no matter what stress is going on in my life, my kids remind me how wonderful the world is!!!

Ok, so today, he had a few dollars from the tooth fairy. He loves going to Dollar Tree, because he can select several great toys, whereas at Walmart, he would only be able to get one... if that. So, we're there, and he selects his three items, but found another one he really wanted, so he was going to put one back. I told him since he's been so great today, he could get another one and I would pay for it. He hugged me and told me what a wonderful mom I am... ok, happy tears already!

On the way home, we stopped and picked up some fast food, since it's just the two of us tonight, and, as usual, he was asking questions about everything. One question in particular stood out, "Mom, is it true that if you follow your dreams they will come true"? Of course, my answer was yes... as I want all of my children to follow their dreams, and I so pray that they all come true. His response was so funny, precious and sweet all at the same time, "So the Disney Channel was right! Dreams really do come true"! Well, he proceeded to talk about his dream of being rich... a big hangup of his lately... all those toys, ya know? I told him that when he becomes a doctor, he will have plenty of money... he wants to be a doctor to take care of his Mama, so nobody will give me shots that hurt!!! And then, I got to give him that timeless line, "You know, even though we don't have a lot of money, we are so rich because we have so much love"... he replied that he knew... and with the tears welling up in my eyes, I realized how thankful I am that I can deliver those lines... and really mean them!!! I still struggle to pay the electric bill at times, and like many, stress over the rising prices of gas and other necessities.... but I cannot begin to say how thankful I am for all the riches I am continually blessed with!
