How do you get an article to be featured in your group?

I just typed this whole article out and then it disappeared after putting in the tags and pushing the publish button.  One more time and very frustrating.

I published an article as a member of the group I own, Autism Families, http://autismfamilies.gather.com and would like to make it featured for new and incoming members to see as an introduction. 

There was no button to click or option when publishing the article.  I thought about posting as a group, but that is not what I wanted.  I went to the gather help forum and there was a featured article by a member explaining how to ask a question at the group - same thing I want for my group - just need to learn the steps to achieve this.

Can someone explain this, as it was not in the FAQs section about publishing and I would like to get this done?

PS - To gather = I received an email with the subject heading (none) but it showed gather so I opened it and found a newsletter. I suggest putting in newsletter into the subject line so more will open it and read it.
