We'll do our thing,
run up and slither down
the slippery wall of life
charged up to tackle brick by brick
the monumental tasks ahead,
pushing the fog of anxiety fears worries
aside,
every now and then
we'll scamper on
touching nose to nose
to let our flickering auras
intermingle
and scintillate....

thank you
Nice metaphor.
I based this short poem on a cellphone message from a very intuitive friend who had watched ants crawling on a wall, each one touching nose to nose despite their industrious ways....
Cheerz!
beautifully said Max,
ROCHELLE
cheerz!
My mother frequently reminded us,
"Sliding downhill was easier than
Scrambling up
But the climb is always worth the effort."
I like the way you have said this.
I would have preferred not to know the inspiration for the poem. I find, as a writer, I often learn what my stuff is about from the reader, rather than what it is supposed to be. Anyway, you capture our helter-skelter existence, although I'm not sure we're analogous to an ant colony in that we have decided that we are so different from each other rather than working together for some common goal.
Thanks for pointing out the piece. I'll look forward to more of your work.
I think I shall not do that again.
More work will follow soon.
Cheerz!
Much love.
Max
