My thanks to Lewis Carroll's funky feline for this one.
Time to Go . . . Where?
A Cheshire Cat grinning wide astride a branch,
Winked an eye and blinked, besides--
Ever so slowly, sly.
With both eyes closed his orange stripes glowed,
Then dimmed and gaily died.
"I go," he said.
"Where to?" I asked
As blackness swallowed the grin upon his face,
His body without a trace.
"I go," he said again,
His longing heavy on the breeze.
Then the yowl that stiffens a Tomcat's hair,
Split the solemn night time air and echoed through the trees--
Aha!
'Twas a tabby cat's call summoned "Chesh" to the ball!
No cause now,
No reason to rail at this enraptured peer
With reason enough to go and disappear.

I guess I'll have to go over to Bartlebys.com and look up Alice in Wonderland, since here in Spain it will be difficult to find in English.
