Go Forth and Smile (Tanka)

Ernie Z. published a great article, "Are You Attractive to Others?" that inspired the Tanka here. We all need the answers to the questions his article poses--nature, nurture, or both? I'm no scientist but the following might help somewhat:

Go Forth and Smile

When I don't know you
I am shy and back away
And you think I'm cold
For my readers I will write
For my friends I laugh gladly

I am quiet at times but talk alot in a classroom, training situation, I love people and they see it. I do love to write and it has always been easier for me going back as far as childhood to write about the most personal things that ails me then to tell others about it. Your piece is full of truth
