can I admire you from afar
without surrendering
your voice
your heart
your eyes
don't know what I'm feeling
even so
my words could never let you know
how much my heart desires you
thousands of miles away
can never kill off this flame
that burns deep inside
when I think of your name
the stars have crossed our lives
so that we're not meant to be
I stumble
within my
own life
without a plan for destiny
even so
my love for you will always glow
like a galaxy connecting with your eyes
a million light years away
could you admire me from afar
the way I cannot stop
wondering exactly who you are
nothing can dissuade
the poetry I made
as poor a choice of words
that a lover ever heard
I still struggle to express
in ways you truly cannot guess
maybe someday God will bless
me to give you sweetest happiness
even so
