rhymes escape me
my poetry is dull
my song is off-key
my muse is in a lull
now that you have gone
I'm debating
how I turned my fate
concentrating
on how I loved too late
now that you have gone
you wanted to embrace me
but I just turned away
and when you tried to chase me
I ran without a single word to say
I'm regretting
the true love that I lost
the sun is setting
our paths no longer cross
now that you have gone
