I have started a new group that some of you may enjoy. I would really like to see anything in the way of pictures or articles that you have to offer, old or new. I'm sure that there are others that would too, and I have pasted the group "Military Aircraft, Ships, and Vehicles" description below.
Liz has already written a fantastic article on the SR-71 Blackbird to help kick this off, and it is well worth reading.
This group is a place to post your pictures of anything military related. Articles that describe experiences flying, working on, or just going to shows would be welcome.
Group Tags: planes, aircraft, military, helicopters, soldiers, ships, armored personnel vehicles, sailing ships, jets, tanksI have always been fascinated with military aircraft and ships. I used to build models as a kid, and still collect books and photographs of things military related, including the historical. As an adult, I built weapon systems for various military vehicles, and helicopters, both for the US and foreign services. I also love going to air shows and seeing everything on display.
So if you like pictures or stories of military equipment, please join and contribute. Everybody enjoys some good photos, and a little explanation. Articles of experiences spent in the military would be a great bonus.

Chris- you were a Marine I believe, you must have a "vendome" like experience to share?
No air-conditioning in those old planes 'eh. Are you relaxed when flying now, or is it still a bit nerve-racking?
