I was wandering through Barnes & Noble during lunch today and found these two books sitting next to each other on the discount rack. The placement of these books side by side made me laugh so I took a picture with my cellphone.
Three things to take away from this photo:
- Both were influential women of the 20th century, albeit in starkly contrasting ways.
- Of the two, only the Mother Theresa one is a picture book, sadly.
- Traci Lords wrote a book.
So for all of you aspiring writers out there (myself included), when it's late at night and you're sitting down to your computer after a long day at work and an evening of chasing the kids and you just don't feel up to writing anything, remember: Traci Lords has written a book. So has Pamela Anderson, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, and Jenna Jameson.
And you haven't.
(Besides Jenna and Traci, a few other pr0n stars have written books but none are as publicly known as those two. Plus listing them here would mean having to acknowledge that I know who they are and why they are famous.)
