When I finally learned to forget my SELF and thought of myself as belonging to all, then and only then I understood the troubles, wants and desires of others. I pray to stay in this knowledge till the time comes to go back from where we all come from.
Along the path I have learned that at all times we must be unbiased, unprejudiced observers and students.
The student of Spirituality is a friend and companion on the Path, providing inspiration and guidance but not giving directives. A spiritualist does not substitute his/her will and conscience but helps the others to develop their own will and conscience.
Many times some of us step on the spiritual path because there are different kinds of initiation that souls experience. One is natural initiation. A kind of natural unfoldment for which the soul cannot give any cause or reason, comes to a soul, although no effort or attempt has been made by that soul to experience it.
We're all students, because the more we learn, the more we realize we need to learn! This is hugely important! So often I'll see people issuing dictates or very specific, inflexible 'predictions' that others, depending on their state of mind-spirit, will 'take as gospel.' While we may 'know' from our own experience, and are always the expert when it comes to knowing our own journey, we're not 'experts' when it comes to all-knowing what's best for someone else.
Sometimes this initiation comes after great illness, pain, or suffering. It comes as an opening up of the horizon, it comes as a flash of light, and in a moment the world seems transformed. It is not that the world has changed; it is that that person has become tuned to a different pitch. He begins to think differently, feel differently, see and act differently; his whole condition begins to change. One might say of him that from that moment he begins to live. It may come as a vision, as a dream, as a phenomenon--in any of these forms; one cannot determine the manner in which it will manifest.
I am still a student on the path. I know that !

thank you
Agreed, we are born students , we live as students, and we die still being students.
I agree, till the moment a person dies, he learns things, he learns lessons of life and the person who spends his life for the betterment of the world around him is an ACHIEVER in the true sense. Be the way you are, ma'am, love you.
God bless.
As for being a student, I still keep learning. George Corneliussen sums it up rightly.
I agree.
Kindness and light.
A delightful read which I thank you for.
If we all learned the spirital bliss that comes from learning to love our neighbors we would be on a path to peace.
the grass being greener on the other side of the fence is just an illusion. You said it well about learning to love our neighbors...and this starts from loving ourselves and spread that love " over the fence" instead of living in the illusion.
Shaunee: thank you too; we never stop learning..although I 've met people that think they know all and no need to continue to learn.
Martha: few people admit what you just said !
I do appreciate all your love and kindness
thank you
