The trash is overflowing
You throw more on the ground
When I come home I'm bitched at
for fruit flies all around
Cardboard container empty
beneath computer seat
It's not mine, but it's my fault
The house is far from neat
I'm lost and overlooking
for I am messy, too
I find it funny you don't see
this unobstructed view
Come take a walk beside me
downstairs and out the door
We take the trash out as we go
and bring in something more
A crumpled piece of paper
cast on the staircase shelf
I didn't throw your receipt there
You did that all your self
I know I'm not a neatnick
But neither, Dear, are you
Stop griping 'bout this messy house
Pick up a thing or two
