Tate is a girl (Tatum), but Fiona drew these creative toenails and decided one should be blue instead of pink. She did the same on the fingers. Guess I'll post that picture here, too. (Tate must have wiggled a lot on the hand)

Guess someone doesn't appreciate pre-school art and had to give the poor kid a one. What a nice guy.

And yes, the other hand and foot are on the back sides - this girl wouldn't leave a job half done.

The best part of having kids and grandkids is the chance to watch them marvel at everything as 'new'. I think this is reminiscent of the folder full of pictures drawn by ours.

That must have taken some serious concentration - bottle those looks and sounds so you can replay them when they are older. (or you could use one of those camcorder thingies)

Thanks for that reminder, Layne. I'm not a big 'saver' of things. I have a small collection of notes and art from my daughters and grandchildren, but not anything like what most people save. And I have far too few pictures and videos. I need to do more recording.

Pamela, Tate is proof they don't have to sit still - long as you aren't looking for perfect toes ;-) Thanks for appreciating the innocence. I don't know why this hit me the way it did - I had to turn my head and hide tears over her explanation about those toes. I wasn't sure if her point was to excuse her art work, or to make sure I knew Tate's toes weren't abnormal.

I think that I may be the one to have inspired Fiona...I have a dead (black) toenail hanging on for all it's worth. It has probably haunted her for the past few weeks and the only way she knows how to cope with it is to make it mysteriously appear on random digits.
