He won the race

Won today's tour de France

Passing the crowd cheering loudly

The Dane

 

NB. The mountain chicken is the nick-name of Michael Rasmussen, who just minutes ago won today's tour de France secion. 

This was a little experiment on making poetry in form of a Cinquain, I'm not sure though if I keep the form of 2-4-6-8-2, I have doubts about the words race, France, today's and Dane, are they one or two syllables?

today's is two syllables, the rest are one. It appears to me you have the meter down, but I am not an expert on poetry! I like it, though!

Aileen, what was I thinking, Today's is of course 2 syllables, what I meant, was if the 's added an ekstra syllable.
Thank you for helping me, you see, in Danish the other words would have been two syllables... da-ne, fran-ce, ra-ce
And I'm glad you liked it! ;O) A little patriotism is not that bad, is it? ;O)))

I have to disagree,,, today's is 3 syllables. to-day-s the s being 'is"

good poem though!
