crying in the rain
two lost souls
trying to explain
the common pain we share
that substitutes for care
how could it come to pass
looking through a glass
two hearts hope
for an end to tears
two hearts hope
to toss aside our fears
and maybe make a start
to open up our hearts
and perhaps choose a fate
that heals us from all hate
in dreams I see your face
and picture an embrace
that fades with break of dawn
and trust I can go on
although we live a thousand miles away
perhaps we could by chance meet just one day
two minds dream
of love that cannot be
two minds dream
of timeless ecstacy
we long for but can't find
a common peace of mind
perhaps another place
and time I'll see your face
