from the safety behind the screen door
She trills, unobserved, tail twitching with ears
pointing straight up
Gorgeous Black Cat
She has no name, this little one
Been with us a few months, already
We cannot agree
So I call her Bee Bee Key

Of course, all kittens answer to Bee Bee Key,
but what would you have me do?
She's beyond a name, I guess
Kitten knows she is loved,
And is perfectly at home here
She even brought me a mouse!
Bee Bee delights there by the screen
content to watch with belly full
I watch with her the birds and smile
Orange beak of mother cardinal
Red heads of the finches and martins
Gritty cackles of the Jay, not all excited
like sometimes, pulls her attention.
A door slams somewhere and they all fly
Except a wee one, who looks 'round, then joins them
Summer with this darling kitten
Who rescued whom?
Although she is without a name,
I speak soothingly as I stroke her
And wonder what she'd call me

This poem is as lively and lovely as little Bee Bee herself.
precious
I have to take pics of my latest three - Pirogue, Schooner and Bateaux - all three ready to go to one home - a home that does not declaw and is filled with love! Salud,
Nothing says lovin' like a kitten in the house.
This little spikey-tail is a beauty.
she calls you love for that is what you are
We rescued her a couple months ago and she's GREAT, but I knew her ma and both of her potential papas before they were rescued, and they were pretty groovy too.
Bee Bee seems to be her name by default, anyhow. We had a precious already, and my nick name is Kitty, so I guess all is settled, eh?
