The beginning of Wisdom is the willingness to consider that you may be mistaken; mistaken in your perceptions, your conclusions and your beliefs - which all things pass through like a filter. [G M Jaron]

Lovely quote and image.
Wisdom is born from temporal experiences. Everyone creating one's very own conscience and consciousness is subtly learning to acquire and to discard; to link and un-link (and discard?). As the great Greek Heraclitus enunciated millennia ago: (from Wikepedia re HERACLITUS):
"We both step and do not step in the same rivers. We are and are not."
I'd augment that famous compound saying by noting that
"The same foot does not step in the same river twice"" Mistakes are not always born of logical errors but from the (corrected) GIFTS (to conscionce and consciousness) of eternal CHANGE. Thus as Heraclitus suggests: WE ARE AND WE ARE NOT (YET or EVER)--I would suppose and guess!

Brilliant.
You have 2 thoughts there.
to begin the journey of understanding you must beleive that you have within you an ability to perceive the True, the Good and The Beautiful - so you are correct - trust that you might be right is the place to start.
The 2nd point you are right about is that despite all doubt there is meaning out there - The Universe does contain Structure, Order and Meaning. One of my essays describes that very beleif and recognition.
But, understanding and knowledge is not wisdom. Wisdom, for me is the vantage point of balance and harmony. It is the ability to find harmony in ideas and in people. If one beleives to fully in oneself then you stray away from wisdom an venture into hubris. Doubt and openess to new people and ideas will prevent one from becoming a "True Beleiver" - someone who worships only one ideology/religion - someone who has cut themselves off from wisdom.
