In israel , let me clarify,the army bases are separate from the civilian places..why shoot at a school when you can aim at military targets?

UN resolution 15-59 (?) stated that they were supposed to occupy the territory near Israel to prevent Hezbollah attacks years ago. They never did. It is feared that if Americans and other western nationals are gathered together to be evacuated that they will become one big target for Hezbollah, and that the Lebanese Army can't, or won't help protect them. Hezbollah is also certainly going to use hotels and other places these people are staying in the mean time as shields to launch rockets etc.
Keep an eye on Syria, as Iran seems impatient to get a conflict between Israel and them going soon.

Well, we will have to keep watching, and hope Israel is successful with defeating Hezbollah and Hamas from the air.
