In light of the "new and improved" Gather, many a articles have sprung up with criticism. One of the most prominent objections is to the orange comment boxes. So I felt the need to speak up in their defense. After all orange boxes have feelings too. :)
In truth I think they are very Gatheresque. Because of the Gather logo, I associate the color orange with Gather and think the boxes fit quite nicely.
I do agree that they are rather large though and there is entirely too much white space in and around them but there is nothing wrong with the color itself.
However, if I may make a suggestion to the Gather Gods. In the interest of personalizing Gather, maybe we could be able to choose what our personal Gather looks like? The layout, I mean. Maybe from different templates? Even if it's not the whole layout, maybe just the colors? Myspace lets you personalize as do many other sites. Neopets lets you choose your sidebar/ theme for your personal view. It can't be that hard to implement. Right?
Side Note: Ok I know I should be posting the rest of my SA pics instead of posting random articles that just pop into my head but in my defense my computer at home crashed and I haven't been able to access my pics. I'll get them posted as soon as I can though.

I wonder, does changing your settings on your browser make things fit on your screen better? Because everything fits on one of my computers but on the other one I have to scroll sideways a lot.

I used to live in Syracuse, where orange (and blue) was the proper color, in support of Syracuse University. I don't see that anyone from Syracuse posts here, but they'd approve.
Also, my youngest son decided last year that he'd 'rock orange' in his possessions -- notebooks, hoodie, that sort of thing.
They could tone it toward a softer gold tone and make it easier on the eyes, though.
