That puppy pooped right on the rug
Well yes, Bo's the cutest of pugs
But I stepped in the mess
Between toes, (I digress)!
I rather prefer cats, though smug
My hamsters were Minnie and Mickey
For nibbling they weren't very picky
They ate through their cage
My dad had a rage
Their bones in the basement were icky
Heartworm is such a big worry
Ticks, fleas, yet a new story
But we sure love that doggy
He's even better than a froggy
We named him Spike, not Cory
George had jaws like a lion
Crunching up mice like a giant
But a lover he was
Just a big ball of fuzz
Never such a cat, I'm sighin'
Our Peke Tobey has hardly a profile
His face is pushed in 'bout a mile
In "Oz" he played Toto
Of course stole the show
And now he makes Rodney smile
Snaggie was a lemon striped cat
She slept on everyone's lap
When we went for a walk
She along side as we talked
Snagglepuss --that cat sure was fat

Because it reminds me of my turtle who escaped and died, I found him months later - very sad a six years old.
