Unbeatable Female Logic

I was sitting listening to a soul-stirring performance by our favorite vocalist on tape, when she peeped in. With me, lost in music was my blind friend Juggo.

 

She asked us by gestures to get the hell out of her room, she wanted to change. Reluctantly I got up and walked out.

 

She was thumpingly furious, pointing at him, urging me to take him away….

"But he's blind! " I  whispered fiercely.

I frankly had no reply for her, when she whispered equally fiercely at me : "But, he's a man!"

Hi guys and ladies, my intention honestly was to see how deep is the divide between both warring sections and it seems as deep as ever.... but then viva la difference.... life would be so dull without it! I am pleasantly surprised by the response. Keep commenting, gives me more insight.

Hey Donna, that's very brave of you, but I was seeking to know the divide, here and now, not 'then'.... considering all the comments here, it just struck me that apart from the hormonal thing as thrown up by quite a few ladies here, there is the smell factor which we sighted people forget. A blind man can easily smell the womanly body smell much better than a sighted one. So the protest is based on intuition rather than hard facts....Say what?

Max, I had a blind male friend for years, and it didn't phase me one bit whether he chose to stay in the room or leave. He had more to deal with from that experience that I did, for sure!

men think different than women. I have three men and three women in the house most of the time. we can outnumber the men in logic and common sense more than you think. sometimes men just do not think.i do not think i would do it infront of a blind man or a gay man. She was right to get you both out of the room.

I have a blind friend who can often tell me what I'm wearing, what he believes is under what I'm wearing, and what he'd like to do with what is under what I'm wearing. I treat him the same as I would treat any other friend, so this woman's logic makes sense to me.

The concept of "rudeness" is such a culturally defined, and hence subjective determination, that I give it little credence. This is a delightfull little piece that reminds me of the statement "Speak softly, so that I can truly see you."

My question is why didn't she just get what she wanted and change in another room. I think that it was rude to ask two people to leave a room when they were obviously enjoying the music. That was what was rude.
