Feelings and memories of yore
Musical rain or, darkened past
Pens a poet from heart's core.

Writings with meaning and emotions
Intuitive and echoed creativeness
Weaving of the same with magical lively strings
Uplifts mentally with solace in duress.

Quench of eager thirst of soul
Gyrates the inert cycle of life teary
And illuminating pensive mindset of strife
Expressed as 'POETRY' of enigmatic mystery.

Stirred with awakened swirl
Banquet images from deep yearning
Swell at the edge with contentment
And flow as 'POETICS' with velvety lightening

A poem about poetics, with a delightful knowingness that never turns into postmodern smugness in spite of the meta-critical act performed by the evocative descriptions of the poet's alchemical tasks. Your sincerity is appealing and surprisingly apropos for this kind of poem, manoj, that I usually read by self-conscious soi-disant intellectual poets who cerebrate what they believe language cannot express as experience, and precisely for their disaffected theoretical bent they are locked out of the kingdom,have to see Canaan from the mountaintop like the despairing prophet. But this poem flows with milk and honey, vim and vigor, sensibility without losing the sense of our magical vocation.
