"I accept chaos. I am not sure whether it accepts me. I know some people are terrified of the bomb. But then some people are terrified to be seen carrying a modern screen magazine. Experience teaches us that silence terrifies people the most."
~ Bob Dylan
Memories Silent Foliage
silence flooding the soul
like a sea,
like dark water,
like puddles of oil,
like holes in the floor,
holes opened by age
deeper with every
word that remains unspoken,
like liquid holes
they fill our lives,
making us
move
in porcelained
patterns
chaos
dreams buried inside souls
like November leaves,
scattered, brittle,
they
loose their colour,
they
loose their fragrance,
their bones refuse to get buried,
they turn into ghosts,
finding us in the night,
in the inked hours
spent
searching
for
sleep,
for the way out,
for the way in
they sink into the ground,
not dead,
they turn into memories
they remain
they turn
they come back
they shut us up

I'll now apparently contradict myself by saying truthfully that I've posted 10 or so poems dealing with the same or similar subject, and am applying the finishing touches to another four or so. A few more drafts and they'll be ready to go.

P.S. Bob Dylan is one of my favourite singers and poet.
