Tired of the produce available at the local grocery store? Ever daydream about escaping the city and going to the country to harvest vegetables?
Well now you can. Clagett Farm located 20 miles from DC in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, offers individuals an opportunity to volunteer 4 hours harvesting vegetables or doing office work, in exchange for fresh vegetables, like tomatoes, basil, squash, green beans, peppers and more.
From now till Thanksgiving, you can do the work share
any weekday between 8am and 4pm or Saturdays from 8:30am to 12:30pm. You will receive vegetables for this work, if you'd like .
Clagett Farm is a Community S upported Agriculture project
of the Cheseapeake Bay Foundation and the Capital Area
Foodbank.
