Celebrating midsummer part 2 – In pictures
In the allotment garden society* they host a celebration of Skt. Hans, the night we celebrate Midsummer Eve. Last night we were about 35 people together to watch the burning of the witch on a bonfire. Granted this was not the biggest bonfire ever seen. But since it was a private party, we had only a small bonfire.
As always we barbecue some sausages and greeted the midsummer with a beer and some wine.
Midsummer nights in Denmark are blessed with light until late in the evening, so we start of the pictures at around 8 o'clock in the evening. So if you wonder about the lack of darkness on the pictures, this is why.

Skt. Hans celebrated
As I biked home I took the scenic route a long the fjord and saw several other bonfires. The night was light, the air was lovely, sun was out, it was a beautiful night.
