Why is real success found by so few?

The right definition is one clue,

Remembering what they already knew;

Also it is not only what you do,

But what you get from what you do;

Not only living in the now moment,

But expanding this here and now,

By perpetual learning and growing,

From making your very best effort

At whatever you are doing right now;

Making a difference for self and others—

Reading, listening, playing or working,

Gradually closing this bothersome gap

Between your dreams afar,

And where you are;

From your ordinary other self,

To your extraordinary signature myself,

Being so busy to notice progress—

Going from just surviving to thriving,

When you stop talking and taking,

And start doing and giving without a you,

Living success as one of the few.

Thnaks Jose...I have been a student of "success" now for nearly 40 years (5 books and 125 articles), and I am just now beginning to understand it. It basically boils down to doing and not doing certain things and what you get from doing or not doing those things in our perpetual attempt to close the gap between where we are and where we want to be, which runs anwhere between paying attention to the now moment and making the best effort to apply our talents at whatever we are doing to get results that make a difference, to full-blown self-actualization in physical, mental, emotional, social, vocational and spiritual develiopment.
